The minimum age to enroll is 10 years, as the guitar programs are designed for older children and adults. There is no maximum age limit.

2) Can i learn at my own pace ?

Accepted Answer

Of course you can learn at your own pace. Duration of completion of the Levels/Program is based on your comfort.

3) Is the slot for class a permanent slot ?

Accepted Answer

Yes the slot for class is a permanent slot on a fixed day & time of a Week. The slot will be discussed with student before enrollment.

Online class is a "One on One" class with a single student.

5) What is the duration of an online class ?

Duration of an Online "One on One" class is 40 Minutes.

No, we do not provide offline classes.

7) How many classes are provided ? Can i take more classes ?

Accepted Answer

One class per week is the standard for all programs. In between the classes the practice that you do at home is most important.

More classes will add value only If you are on vacation and have lots of free time to attend classes and practice a lot more. If you are on vacation, 2 classes per week can be taken for a short duration of 4 weeks or for the duration of your vacation.

8) Who will be the Instructor conducting the classes? Will the classes be conducted by a single instructor or multiple instructors?

The classes will be conducted by a BGMA in-house guitar instructor. For more info please visit "About Us" page of the website.

A single instructor will be assigned for a student.

9) Are the programs followed by all instructor's the same ?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All instructor's are BGMA in-house instructors, and follow our standard guitar programs and teaching methodology.

10) Should i practice at home ? How are the lessons provided ?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Practice at home is important on the lessons that are covered in a class. Classes are meant for learning new material, reviews and technical discussions.

Lessons are provided in digital format that can be downloaded.

11) If i am unable to attend a class, can it be rescheduled ?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The class can be rescheduled with advance intimation to instructor.

12) Is the Fee only for the classes ?

Accepted Answer

The fee is not just for the classes. Classes are only one part of the training. The fee covers the entire system — including program quality and digital material, instructor expertise, personalized guidance, and the overall quality of the training.

13) Should Fee be paid for a full program ?

Accepted Answer

Generally fee follows a full course payment or other payment cycle.
BGMA follows a 2 Month Payment cycle. Fee is to be paid for every 2 Months as long as student is enrolled in the program.

14) Can i use phone for the Online classes ?

Accepted Answer

No. A Laptop or desktop with broadband internet connection is a must.

15) Is certificate provided ?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After completing any of our guitar programs, BGMA certificate will be provided in digital format.

Additionally students can take up the RSL guitar grade exams and certification. For more info please visit the "Music Grade Certification" page.

​16) Is there a difference between Offline and Online classes ?

There is absolutely no difference between them. Both are in-person classes with online classes conducted remotely on live video. Irrespective of online or offline, developing good skills in music depends on the quality of the programs & training, students commitment & practice and various other factors.

YouTube and learning Apps provide a large amount of content, but it is mostly unstructured and generic. As a result, most people, especially beginners often feel confused and directionless and struggle to progress beyond basic chords.

At Bangalore Global Music Academy (BGMA), learning happens through one-on-one live online classes with professional in-house instructors, following a clear, structured curriculum. This personalized approach allows the instructor to correct technique in real time, adapt lessons to the student’s pace and goals, and ensure strong musical foundations from the start.

While YouTube can be useful as reference tools at an intermediate or advanced level, they cannot replace personal mentorship, real-time feedback, and structured progression—which are essential for learning guitar effectively and confidently.

18) I am quiet old ? Can i learn the guitar at this age ?

Absolutely! You can learn to play the guitar at any age. Age doesn’t matter when it comes to learning music. What truly matters is your interest and patience. Many people pick up instruments later in life and find great joy in it. With regular practice, you'll make steady progress and enjoy the journey.

19) Do you offer a trial/demo class?

Accepted Answer

At BGMA, learning the Guitar — for both hobbyists and serious learners — is a structured, skill-based journey that develops through consistent practice, commitment, and guided training. Musical progress cannot be evaluated in a single trial or demo session. For this reason, BGMA does not offer trial or demo classes.

However, after enrollment and full fee payment, every student receives a free introductory class. If you decide not to continue after this session, you may cancel the enrollment and receive a full refund, no questions asked.

20) Which Guitar should i buy ?

Accepted Answer

It is good to start on a "Steel String Acoustic Guitar". It can be bought online or from local music shops.
