Guitar Grade Certification
At BGMA, students have two certification options depending on their learning goals.
BGMA Certificate of Completion
Awarded upon successful completion of a BGMA guitar program.
Optional International Guitar Grade Certification
BGMA is associated with RSL Awards UK, an international music examination and certification board. Upon completion of an RSL guitar grade exam, students will have earned a globally recognized music certification.

When can i apply for the guitar grade exam and certification?
Students can start taking the grade exams upon completing the "Intermediate course (Level 2)" of the "Fast Track Comprehensive Guitar Program".
For the grade exams and certification, the RSL Electric Guitar grade curriculum is followed, as it focuses on contemporary music and songs that help develop strong playing skills on both acoustic and electric guitar. A steel-string acoustic guitar can be used up to Grade 2 examinations.
How is the exam taken?
The exam is a recorded digital exam. Students are required to submit a performance video featuring three songs, Riff and scales & chords technical material from the RSL syllabus The video has to be submitted within 3 months from the date of exam registration. An RSL examiner will evaluate it for certification.
